Minimalist Fume Extractor

This projects aims to create a sleek and minimalist fume extractor. By that i mean a fume extractor that is one solid shape without an extra base. It includes an activated carbon filter and a HEPA filter to ensure clean air in my room and allows for adjustable fan speeds through a rotary encoder (Current Speed is shown on the display). I made this because i was always breathing in harmful fumes when soldering :)

The Hepa and activated carbon filter are placed infront of the fan in the case.

Assembly:

After soldering everything together (Tutorial will follow when i actually start building), the case assembly starts. First start by securing the arduino nano v3.0 and the USB-C receptacle into place by using M2.5 screws. image image

Then put the push button into place on the hole opposite of the USB-C receptacle, it will be secured by a nut. (No 3D model available, Real Image will be added later) image

Next we will start the fan assembly. On the backside of the control cover you will be able to slide in the oled screen, it is then secured in place. image

The rotary encoder will be assembled just like the push button: image

Afterwards the fan will simply fall into the main case and the first fan grill can be put on top. image image

Now screw in the M5 screws from the back:

Lastly, the activated carbon filter and hepa sheet can be put on top of the first fan grill and then the second on can be screwed in using the M2 screws.
