Why I Built Soundis

Discord's soundboard feature is amazing, but I found myself constantly switching between apps to edit or keep my funny meme audio clips. As a developer who likes to interact with my friends, I wanted something better to manage the process.

The Problem

Every time I wanted to interact with my friends' streams with a specific audio from a meme, I had to download it, convert it, edit it with a software and manually upload it to Discord. It was annoying and kept me from fully engaging in the way I wanted.

The Solution

Soundis lets you paste a YouTube link or upload any audio/video file, and it automatically processes it for Discord's soundboard. No more file conversions, no more hunting for the right length or format.

Why Self-Hosted

I believe our audio clips and data should be managed by ourselves. No cloud service fees, no privacy concerns, no rate limits. Just a simple tool that works exactly how you want it to.

Built for Developers

Open source, Dev version Docker-ready, and designed to be modified. If you want to add features or change how it works, the code is yours to explore and improve.
