MP3 Sync for Hiby R1

This is a simple tool I made to sync my podcasts and music to my mp3 player, the Hiby R1. It is a tool with a python backend and html frontend which can be hosted pretty much anywhere. It is designed to be used with the upload via network on the player but USB support is coming soon. Hopefully you find it useful. img Video: https://cdn.hackclub.com/019fba97-0486-7755-b3db-7881c11ccf9b/2026-08-01%2009-48-16.mov

SETUP

Clone the repo first! To set this up, just populate your .env with proper values then install the requirements.txt in your venv with pip install -r requirements.txt. Then run uvicorn main:app..

Use ID's from podcastindex, and find them when you go to podcastindex and choose a podcast. It will be in the url as the first integer you see. Just paste it in then click get podcasts.

TODO

  • USB support
  • More documentation
  • Fix the HTML UI (it is ugly)
  • Add music support
  • Add audiobook support (My audiobooks)

If you would like another MP3 player added feel free to open an issue or make a pull request i'll try to be active!
