Important
This pre-screening message is only relevant for YSWS reviewers or the Hack Club fraud team. If that does not apply to you, please continue to demo Elapsed!
If you are a HCTG reviewer, you are most likely ascpixi. Please ensure that you are a furry before reviewing this project, or ask ascpixi to review this project instead..
Hello! My name is Jupiter (Lamparter), and I'm very pleased that you are taking interest in / reviewing my project!!
I strongly recommend skim-reading Elapsed's
README.mdfile before reading this document, as it will give a better understanding of what Elapsed is, as well as context for some of the concepts I'm about to introduce in this document. If you have any questions about reviewing Elapsed, please contact@Lamparteron Slack, or send a message in the#elapsedchannel.
Before you get to review my project, Elapsed, I need to make something absolutely clear about the true amount of hours spent on this project - the total on Hackatime is wrong because I have submitted/will submit this project to two YSWS programmes. Those YSWS programmes are Campfire Flagship (a game hackathon in Los Angeles, from the 20th to 22nd of February 2026) and Hack Club: The Game (an event in New York City, from the 22nd to 25th of May 2026).
TL;DR: I have spent 38 hours LESS than what the HCTG project listing says on this project.
Note
Elapsed is an HQ(-ish) project. It is made in collaboration with ascpixi (gap-yearer in Vermont), and, formally speaking, he is responsible for Lapse..
Elapsed is an free, cross-platform client for Lapse, written in C# (.NET). The Elapsed project, as of writing, has the following main parts::
- The app itself: the cross-platform client
- The CLI programme: a fully-functional cross-platform CLI that demonstrates the Lapse API projection
- The Lapse API projection: a generator that turns the Lapse OpenAPI JSON file into production-ready C# client
- Various dependencies required by Elapsed, including the Advanced Compiler Services for .NET, Win32 P/Invoke bindings for .NET Standard and others
- My contributions to the original Lapse client and Lapse server
The app itself, as well as the CLI programme, are available in the Elapsed repo and are registered to Hackatime under the project named "Elapsed". The Lapse API projection can be found in the Advanced Compiler Services for .NET repo.
I attended the in-person Campfire Flagship hackathon in Los Angeles in February 2026. In total, I had to publish 115 hours precisely (for qualification, stipends, etc.) for Campfire Flagship. Approximately 77 of those hours went towards another, completely separate project. That leaves 38 hours left, which is a gap that Elapsed nicely filled, by building both the API projection and the CLI programme.e.
As of right now, here are all the Hackatime clocks for Elapsed:
If you total all clocks, and then subtract 38, you will find the total amount of hours submitted to HACK CLUB: THE GAME.
If you subtract 77 from 115, which is 38, you will find the total amount of hours submitted to CAMPFIRE FLAGSHIP.
Important
The unified DB might disagree with the total of hours submitted to Campfire Flagship, if so, it is wrong.
This is because the Campfire Flagship platform does not support changing the amount of hours put onto the unified DB when shipping.
The Campfire Flagship team are aware of thisas a similar document to the one you are reading now was given to the Campfire Flagship reviewer team stating that explicitly.
This course of action was taken en under Annabel's advice.
For any important HQ questions, please contact the POC for this project, @ascpixi.
I am NOT double dipping Elapsed with any other YSWS programme.
Thank you for reading this document and hopefully it answers all your questions!
You can now continue to the actual Elapsed demo, which is available in the project README or build the app from source.
Please do not reject Elapsed if you run into issues.
Instead, contact @Lamparter on Slack or send a message in the #elapsed public channel.
If you for WHATEVER reason think that you should subtract any more hours than 38 from Elapsed, you are wrong.
Please contact me about any dispute to the claim I just made about being completely correct about my hour tracking.
Also, you should be aware that I have spent many MANY hours helping people with issues with Lapse across ss #lapse-help, #construct, #fallout-help, and #stasis-help.
I have dedicated a huge amount of work to Elapsed, most of which has not been tracked.
I plead that you keep that in mind whilst reviewing Elapsed.d.
Thanks, Jupiter (Lamparter) 🫡
PS: See you in NYC! (that's only if you approve this project)
i'm watching you - go on and approve it already 😒
