(A rambly response to Nico's site, "Cats are the best")
I like cats as well! I guess we have something in common!
I can respect the fact that you like cats, and I think it's really cool that you're able to find so much joy with your own cat. And I hear your arguments. I think it's my turn though, to explain why I would prefer having a dog.
Overall, I can absolutely see why you would prefer to have a cat, and I can imagine how relaxing it must be to stroke a cat in your lap on a lazy evening. They can be your friend when you need them, and they can give you space when you're under pressure. The fact that you can just give cats food and water and leave them to their own devices is certainly an advantage e
Nevertheless, I prefer dogs. Evidently, it's more a matter of preference than anything (as a side note, I could therefore argue that saying that cats are generally "better" is more provocative than productive). I love the energy dogs bring to your life in good times and in bad. I love that even if you're tired, your dog will be yipping along and trying to drag you out for a walk. I think maybe that's more what I need in life. I spend most of my days in front of a computer or a textbook. Perhaps a pet who's energetic and capable of holding you to a consistent regiment of exercise is what I really need more of. And regardless, when the time comes to settle back down, I have no doubt that your precious pooch would be there to comfort you. rt you.
Now that I have convinced you that while dogs may not be the best pet for anyone but that they are precious nonetheless, I'd like to offer some pictures of dogs (real or otherwise). Unfortunately, my childhood pet, who was a a labrador retrieverr is no longer with us. I enjoyed my time with her nevertheless.
I'll provide some images of labrador retrievers. Since I have no wish to dox myself in the near future, however, I'll keep it strictly to online images.
I'm now sad. As we all know, when we are sad, we get cookies.
