SprigScope

SprigScope is a tool for Sprig that helps Sprig mirror it's screen to your PC and also control via your PC too! It has the website where you can see them working

See it in action

Here's SprigScope mirroring a real Sprig and controlling it live from the browser:

Pretty cool, right?

What do I need?

  • Sprig (obviously)
  • A USB cable (preferably the one which the Sprig comes with)
  • Phone with camera (if you're using camera mirroring)
  • A laptop with the USB port (if you will use the firmware/library method)

Alright, I got my things.. now..?

How can I mirror my screen?

Well, there are two options through which you can mirror your screen:

  1. Camera mirroring - You can use your camera if you are on your phone to mirror it, though it will just show the screen and you can not control it from the website.
  2. Using the firmware / library WIP - If you want your firmware to mirror its screen, you can just attach the firmware/library (it is under development) with it which can mirror it's screen via USB cable to your PC!

Woo! That's sick

What stack did you use to make it?

I used Vite and plain TypeScript and CSS for the website.

For the library, I am not sure now.. I will update this when I will be confirmed

What's that prototype folder and who made it?

That folder contains the prototype for this project, It was made by AI (not completely) I also gave some hands in it. It took like 4-5 hours to prepare and make it come alive. Though it doesn't work and is laggy.

When you see the code in the website, you should be able to see that I used a real 3D model of Sprig to simulate what the Sprig will show, that was my original idea for this project but I dropped it because firstly it was really difficult to run these things. Secondly, it made the website lag a bit which I didn't want.

Hmm.. okay..

Then wouldn't this be considered an AI slop?

Not at all! The prototype is completely different from the full and working version right now which is there. In this I really didn't use any of the AI for it. I mean I used for some initializing because I forget the commands :-( and also to fix some typo bugs which I couldn't see with my weak bare eyes.

Ohh alright then!

Where can I check the website out?

You can check the website out here! The website contains some things from the Sprig's actual website so that it looks like its for sprig.
