Welcome to DeepPly. My name is Darsh Jindal and I'm a pretty avid chess player (~1500 FIDE). A couple of months ago, I was training to improve but I plateaued hard. Thats when I came up with the idea to make a chess improvement tool to get insights not seen anywhere.

(Note this is still a WIP, so the results arent always accurate and llms hallucinate a lot too)
- Upload games or lichess links
- Link Lichess account to automatically get games
- Analyze game to see move-by-move insights and a short summary of the whole game
- Non-LLM analysis (runs through a custom algorithm which is then fed into an LLM only to convert results into natural language, check out the code!)

This is a separate server which caches already evaluated stockfish evaluations in a optimized db so that the frontend doesn't have to repeat expensive stockfish analyses which have alr been done. Repo Link: https://github.com/someonewhoexists1210/PersistPosition
I feel like this is the default for webapps now. Runs stockfish WASM (browser version of stockfish) and sends result to main server to be used in the positional analysis part. I have to admit a good chunk of the designing was done by AI (I know im sorry) but tbf im in the middle of exams and was pretty exhausted making the backend, plus im despise frontend work.
