Macondo Utils

Quality-of-life browser extension for Macondo.

Features

  • Replaces shop item time estimates with accurate project-based estimates.
  • Easier one-step project creation.
  • Project ground labels on the farm with project metadata.
  • Settings menu in the top bar to configure labels metadata, goals HUD visibilty.
  • Shop goals HUD with actual/projected progress, quantity controls.
  • Dark Mode theme for farm visuals and UI.
  • Shop cards show includes-value efficiency as $ / hr based on your effective rate.
  • See streak info directly on hover, instead of being redirected to another page, and see statistics such as average daily time, today's time, and a chart showing past 14 days timeline.
  • See time left to complete today's streak on the button.

Installation

Chrome

Option 1: Chrome Web Store

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click "Add to Chrome"
  3. Confirm the installation when prompted

Option 2: Load Unpacked

  1. Download the extension files from releases
  2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
  3. Enable "Developer mode" in the top right
  4. Click "Load unpacked"
  5. Select the extension folder

Firefox

Option 1: Mozilla Addons

  1. Visit the Mozilla Addons (Coming soon)
  2. Click "Add to Firefox"
  3. Confirm the installation when prompted

Option 2: Load Temporarily

  1. Download the firefox.zip from releases
  2. Unzip the folder
  3. Open Firefox and go to about:debugging
  4. Click "This Firefox"
  5. Click "Load Temporary Add-on"
  6. Select the manifest.json file from the firefox release

Safari

Option 1: Load Unsigned

  1. Download the firefox.zip from releases
  2. Unzip the folder
  3. Open Safari and do CMD + ,
  4. Navigate to Settings and check the checkbox saying Show features for web developers
  5. Go to the Developer tab
  6. Check the Allow unsigned extensions checkbox at the bottom
  7. Click Add temporary extension
  8. Select the folder you downloaded and unzipped earlier

Telemetry

Macondo Utils can send anonymous, opt-in usage stats to https://macondoutils.hridya.tech to help the project understand which features are useful. Telemetry is off by default and per-category. Categories include activity, goals, shop, project level/streak snapshots, theme, and errors. See the Privacy Policy for details.
