Overview

Now that I have one project under my belt, I decided to create a personal portfolio that includes my personal projects, coding experience, and other things about myself. This is not the most professional looking personal portfolio, but I wanted to try out my skills at HTML and CSS and also learn a bit of Javascript along the way. Making this project was a learning experience that I liked a lot! Athena Award Badge

Content

This portfolio website includes links to some of my profiles, information about my extracurriculars, information about my hobbies and interests, and also information about the projects that I've made before (which are only one project).

The icons I used are favicon.cc. I originally planned to create all of my page icons, but I only designed two of them (the heart icon in the about me page and the little stick figure icon in the projects page). I didn't have as much time to spend individually creating them, but it was fun to create the icons that I added to my website.

The GIF in my welcome page is from the website Glitter Graphics. If you want to learn more about it, just click on it!

Journey

Before I started this project, I had limited knowledge of CSS and only knew a lot of HTML (from the freecodecamp course). Throughout the course of me coding the portfolio, I had to research how to adjust certain properties of the elements. The only part of this project I had to search up a tutorial for was the Javascript, and I had adjusted certain parts to match my project (like the speed and the text). Making this portfolio taught me a lot about CSS, and I managed to figure out a lot of how the "language" worked through creating this website.
