Ever since I saw this video, I knew I had to make this printer. It is such a fun and unique idea that I wanted to see just how far I could push it. Thus begins the idea of the Cross Cantilevered Printer - but Mini. Since I have made Hydra, my needs for a large format printer are more than taken care of. So for this printer, I wanted to go small. Small means fast, and limiting the length of a cantilever will only help me. I settled on a 120x120 Voron 0.2 Bed size. I also wanted to use my SKR Mini E3 V3 board that I have had for a while now to keep costs down and actually use it for something. This printer is meant to be an exploration into how far I can push everything 3d printing.
Thus, here is my take on a cross gantry cantilevered printer: The CCMini.
Utilizing an SKR Mini E3 V3 mainboard, RPi 0 2 W, 200 W Power Supply, all on a 120mmx120mm bed, and a cross gantry motion system, this is built to achieve speed and accuracy, all while exploring a new unique idea for 3d printing.
