A led chaser circuit using NE555 and CD4017 ICs which have a configurable speed using a 100K Ohm potentiometer
The ICs used are:
| Serial No. | Part Name | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | NE555 | Its the timer ic used to change the chase speeed. |
| 2 | CD4017 | It acts as a controller for controlling the LEDs. |
Its a simple project made without any microcontrollers and just complete crude electronics It was a fun project to make learned quite a bit building the circuit..
These are the parts I used for making it:
| Serial No. | Part Name | Quantity |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100uF 25V Cap | 1 |
| 2 | NE555P | 1 |
| 3 | CD4017BE | 1 |
| 4 | 3296 Trim Pot 100k Ohm | 1 |
| 5 | 1k Ohm Resistor | 1 |
| 6 | 470 Ohm Resistor | 1 |
| 7 | 0.1uF Disc Cap | 1 |
| 8 | Header Pin | 2 |
| 9 | Through-Hole 5mm LED | 10 |
